Privacy Policy

FELIGAR Inc. (the “Company”) sets out in this Privacy Policy how we handle users’ personal information when you use the services we operate (the “Services”).

If you agree to this Privacy Policy, it also applies to any personal information we already hold about you. If you are 15 years old or younger, your parent or legal guardian must agree to this Privacy Policy on your behalf.

1. Collection of Personal Information

We may collect personal information in the following ways:

・Directly from you (e.g., through applications, inquiries, or communications)

・Automatically when you use the Services (e.g., via logs or similar technologies)

・Indirectly from third parties

・From publicly available sources, such as publications or the internet

In addition, we may obtain information about you that, by itself, may not identify you as an individual—such as demographic attributes (e.g., age, gender, occupation, area of residence), cookies, IP address, advertising identifiers (AAID/IDFA), location data, behavioral history, communication data (including message subject lines, content, whether messages were opened, and whether messages were sent/received), internet usage logs, and in-store purchase history (collectively, “Informative Information”).

If you provide personal information to us, we may link it with your Informative Information. In that case, the linked Informative Information will be treated as personal information.

2. Purposes of Use

We use personal information for the following purposes:

1. Operating the Services and communicating with users

Including, for example: identity verification and screening; responding to inquiries and feedback; administering campaigns (e.g., selecting winners and sending rewards); and providing functions that enable users to exchange messages, images, videos, and other content.

2. Fraud prevention and secure operation

Including investigations of prohibited applications, unauthorized transfer of rights/obligations, false registrations, fraud, unauthorized access, and other misconduct.

3. Improvement and development of the Services

Including improving existing services, developing new services based on usage analysis, and improving response quality for inquiries.

4. Proposals, information delivery, and advertising

Including sending campaign notices, newsletters, direct mail, announcements, and advertisements about our Services, and—where we deem appropriate—about products/services of companies, schools, or organizations.

We may also match our identifiers (e.g., email address, phone number, cookie, or other information necessary to identify users) with user lists held by advertising platforms such as Google, Facebook, LINE, and others, and deliver proposals/information/ads to users who meet certain conditions (including users of services provided by such advertising platforms).

5. Publication on websites, apps, and other media we manage

Including posting user reviews, photos, and survey responses, and publishing aggregated/visualized performance data on our Services or in press releases.

Unless we specifically explain that a user’s name or photo will be published, we will process information so that a viewer cannot identify a specific individual (e.g., removing name/address or converting to demographic attributes).

6. Research, analysis, and marketing necessary for the above purposes

Including surveys and monitoring research (which may include contacting respondents for effectiveness measurement) and analyzing attributes/behavioral history to understand preferences and matching conditions.

Where we outsource analysis to advertising-related vendors, we may receive aggregated analysis results that do not enable us to identify specific individuals.

7. Provision to third parties as described in Section 3 below

3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

We may provide personal information (which may include Informative Information) in writing or electronically to the recipients below, in accordance with each item.

(1) To companies, schools, and organizations participating in or partnering with our Services (“Participating Entities”)

This includes not only our customers, but also entities with which we have necessary partnership/contractual relationships to provide the Services.

Purpose of provision (by the Company):

・To enable Participating Entities to provide services to users, perform contracts with users, and communicate/provide information in connection with such services (including consideration of whether to enter into a contract and proposals from entities to which a user has applied)

・To share service usage status/results with Participating Entities in connection with corporate/group contracts

・To report survey results regarding venues or facilities operated/managed by Participating Entities

・To confirm/respond to/delete content related to inquiries, opinions, reviews, or other communications

・To provide services to Participating Entities, perform contracts, confirm billing eligibility, and communicate/provide information in connection with these

For certain purposes (e.g., sales proposals, service improvement proposals, survey reporting, referral reporting, or regional revitalization purposes), we will provide information after processing it so the recipient cannot identify a specific individual (e.g., removing name/address or using demographic attributes).

Items provided:

Information necessary to achieve the above purposes (including the user’s name and other relevant user information).

(2) To universities and research institutions for joint research

Purpose of provision: research, investigation, analysis, paper preparation/publication, and sharing trained models/research outcomes/research datasets.

Items provided: information necessary for the above purposes, such as user reviews and related user information, after processing so recipients cannot identify specific individuals.

Provision is limited to academic research institutions, etc., as defined under applicable law, and we will restrict the recipient’s use purpose by contract.

In addition, we may provide personal information to third parties when required by law (including cooperating with police investigations or court orders), or when we obtain separate user consent after specifying the recipient, information, purpose, and method of provision.

4. Receipt of Personal Information from Participating Entities

We may appropriately receive personal information (which may include Informative Information) in writing or electronically from Participating Entities with which users have applied or registered through the Services.

Purpose of receipt:

・Confirmation of billing eligibility

・Operation of the Services and communications/information provision to users

・Improvement and development of the Services, and related research/analysis/marketing

Items received:

Facts/status/results of service usage.

5. Outsourcing of Personal Information Handling

(1) When we outsource

We may outsource all or part of personal information handling. In such cases, we will provide necessary and appropriate supervision of contractors.

(2) When we are entrusted by others

・If we are entrusted by Participating Entities to handle personal information, we will handle such information to perform the entrusted work.

・For improvement/development and related research/analysis/marketing, we may add personal information we hold to personal information received from Participating Entities.

・If we are entrusted with analysis, we may create aggregated analysis results by adding attributes/log data (e.g., location and behavioral history) and provide such results to the relevant Participating Entity after processing so that individuals cannot be identified.

・If we are entrusted with proposals/information delivery/advertising, we may match identifiers (e.g., email, phone number, cookie) and deliver content to users meeting certain conditions, and report results to the relevant Participating Entity. In these cases, we will process results so that individuals cannot be identified.

6. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, and Other Actions

Within the scope and period necessary to comply with laws or achieve the purposes of use, we store and use personal information.

Users (or their authorized representatives) may request disclosure, correction, addition or deletion, suspension of use or erasure, and notification of purpose of use, in accordance with our procedures. Please contact us for details. We may decline requests to the extent permitted by law.

To prevent fraudulent requests (e.g., impersonation), we will verify identity using reasonable methods (such as requesting identification documents). If we respond to a request after completing our verification procedures, we will treat it as a request from the user. Even if the request was made by a third party who obtained the user’s information unlawfully, we are not liable for damages arising from our response unless we acted with willful misconduct or gross negligence or in violation of applicable consumer laws. Users are responsible for managing their personal information carefully.
